Position Summary
The Division Manager, Mission Critical Services is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, strategic growth, and financial success of EMCOR Services Aircond's Mission Critical Operations & Maintenance (O&M) business within an assigned division.
This position provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, financial accountability, and organizational direction for multiple mission critical service operations, ensuring consistent execution, customer satisfaction, workforce development, and sustainable business growth across the division.

The Division Manager serves as the senior business leader for the division and is responsible for establishing the operating strategy, driving financial performance, developing organizational capability, supporting customer retention and growth initiatives, and ensuring operational consistency across all assigned Mission Critical accounts.

Working closely with the Director of Projects & O&M, this role helps shape long-term business strategy, supports market expansion efforts, and develops scalable operating systems capable of supporting continued growth throughout the Mission Critical Services business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Strategic Leadership Support & Business Management
• Lead and oversee the overall performance of the mission critical services division.
• Develop and execute divisional business plans aligned with organizational objectives and growth strategies.
• Partner with the Director of Projects & O&M to establish long-range operational, financial, and workforce planning initiatives.
• Support customer expansion opportunities, business development efforts, and strategic growth initiatives within assigned markets.
• Ensure operational readiness and successful integration of new facilities, campuses, and customer contracts.
• Develop scalable operating models, standardized procedures, and business processes that support continued expansion.
• Identify opportunities for business growth, service diversification, and market expansion.
• Support successful onboarding and integration of new customers, facilities, and service offerings.

Operational Leadership
• Provide leadership and guidance to District Managers responsible for day-to-day facility service operations and customer delivery.
• Establish operating standards, service expectations, and performance metrics across all districts and customer locations.
• Ensure consistency in maintenance execution, service delivery, emergency response, staffing practices, and customer support.
• Monitor operational performance across the division and implement corrective actions when performance targets are not achieved.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, productivity, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure district service operations maintain compliance with contractual requirements, company standards, and customer expectations.
• Establish operational standards, KPIs, and performance expectations across all districts.
• Conduct regular operational and financial reviews with District Managers.
• Ensure consistency in service delivery and operational execution across all customer locations and regions.

Customer Relationship Management
• Serve as the senior operational leader for key customer relationships within the division.
• Maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders.
• Lead customer business reviews, performance discussions, operational planning meetings, and escalation resolution activities.
• Partner with district leadership to ensure customer concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
• Identify opportunities to increase customer satisfaction, account retention, and service expansion.

Financial Performance & Accountability
• Hold overall responsibility for divisional financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, labor utilization, productivity, and cost management.
• Develop annual budgets, forecasts, staffing plans, and operating strategies.
• Evaluate divisional financial results and operational metrics on a regular basis.
• Identify risks, improvement opportunities, and corrective actions necessary to achieve business objectives.
• Ensure accurate forecasting, billing support, workforce planning, and resource allocation across the division.
• Drive accountability for achieving established financial, operational, and customer performance goals.
• Maintain full divisional P&L accountability.
People Leadership & Talent Development
• Directly lead, coach, and develop District Managers and other designated operational leaders.
• Establish workforce planning, and employee retention strategies.
• Drive succession planning and leadership bench-strength development across the division.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, safety, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Support recruiting, performance management, coaching, and career development efforts throughout the division.
• Build organizational capability to support future growth and operational expansion.

Safety & Compliance
• Champion a strong safety culture throughout all mission critical service operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Monitor safety performance and support initiatives that reduce risk and improve overall workplace safety.
• Ensure consistency in environmental, health, and safety practices across all districts and facilities.
Other Requirements
• Execute other related duties as needed or assigned to support evolving business priorities.

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in HVAC service, facilities management, mission-critical operations, commercial mechanical services, or related industries.
• Experience leading multi-site operations, multiple operational or service teams, districts, regions, or business units preferred.
• Strong understanding of mission critical facilities operations, preventive maintenance programs, service operations, and facility reliability requirements.
• Demonstrated experience managing P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, operational metrics, and workforce planning.
• Proven ability to lead through subordinate people leaders and develop high-performing leadership teams.
• Strong executive-level customer relationship management and business development skills.
• Experience implementing scalable operational systems, process improvements, and performance management programs.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Working knowledge of CMMS platforms, Microsoft365, and business management systems (e.g., COINS or similar ERP system preferred).
• Ability to travel as required.

Pay Range
  • The pay range for an HVAC Reliability Technician, Mission Critical Services is $140,000 - $160,000

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to sit and use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position works in a typical office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
