Full Job Description
The successful candidate will be a strategic, thoughtful leader with robust experience in an academic medical center setting. Candidates should have an interest in faculty and fellow mentorship, as it is a key responsibility in supporting career growth and development. This individual will act as the representative in interactions with Department leadership, Lurie Children's Medical Group leadership, hospital administration, external groups and philanthropic donors. The individual in this role is responsible for oversight of divisional operational, philanthropic, and grant funding in partnership with the Executive Director and Division Administrator.

The new Division Head should have Demonstrated leadership in clinical care, research development, education, and/or administration, strong clinical expertise and proven track record of scholarly activity within neonatology, strategic, thoughtful leadership approach with robust experience in academic medical center settings and a demonstrated commitment to faculty mentorship and career development. The candidate should be a MD or DO, or MD/PhD, with board-certification in Pediatrics and Neonatology-Perinatal Medicine, a minimum 5-7 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in neonatology and medical licensure in Illinois (or ability to obtain).

The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until it is filled.

The expected base pay range for this position is $368,000 to $493,000.

Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
