- Regularly meet with client decision-makers to pre-position for operations-maintenance and capital expenditure programs. This may require up to 30% travel for client and project meetings throughout the region.
- Engage on projects as a program manager, project manager, Principal Investigator, or technical subject matter expert (40% billability target) to drive efficient delivery that exceeds client expectations for scope, schedule, budget, and innovation.
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for existing regional clients, ensuring satisfaction and promoting repeat business.
- Achieve assigned regional bookings and backlog growth targets.
- Lead innovation and present technical white papers at client, industry, and community events.
- Collaborate with other Kleinfelder service leads to support cultural scope for new and existing clients and pursuits.
- Update the Account Plan, Scorecard, and CRM for all pursuits, opportunities, and forecasts.
Skills must include:
- Strong leadership with emphasis on building, maintaining, and guiding your team.
- Servant Leadership mentality that is involved day to day in the success of the strategy and business development activities and provides a positive example to the seller/doer team.
- Knowledge of and experience positioning and winning work in the Power Market service lines (environmental planning and permitting, environmental restoration, geotechnical and civil design, and construction services) and in integrating cultural resource management as applicable.
- Deep expertise in federal, state, and tribal cultural resource regulations (NHPA, NEPA, CEQA, and others) in the relevant region.
- Ability to work well in a matrixed environment, interacting with both business development and operations teams while keeping close communication with clients to represent their needs.
- Technical expertise to lead proposal writing, scoping, pricing, and contracting.
- Ability to manage multiple complex, multi-phase projects at once with attention to detail, budget, and quality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proactive problem solving.
- Strong business acumen.
- Dedication to safety and quality.
Experience:
- A minimum of 15 years' experience in a cultural resource, environmental, or engineering consulting or related professional services business, with increasing responsibility in client, program, and project management.
- A minimum of 10 years managing business strategy, development, or operations for a region or business unit of 100+ professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver 10%+ organic Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) through hands-on collaboration with market leads and mentoring of seller-doers.
- Proven track record of securing and managing client relationships that drive revenue growth.
- Operational experience managing teams, budgets, and delivery for complex, multi-phase projects, from pursuit through delivery.
- Strong understanding of technical terms and concepts, and the ability to align and gain credibility with clients, technical professionals, and operational leadership.
- Past successful experience using a CRM, sales funnel, and client account plans.
- Demonstrated experience evaluating market trends against existing capabilities and determining points of entry and tactical plans to grow market share.

- Master's or PhD (SOI-qualified) preferred; an MBA or equivalent business training is a plus.
- Ability to obtain or maintain federal, tribal, or state permits, as needed.
