We are hiring a Division Chief Financial Officer

The Division CFO will oversee the financial operations of the division, ensuring the achievement of budgets and metrics through a culture of accountability. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to drive financial performance and support the division's growth objectives.

Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.

Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.

Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations, and state regulatory environments as needed.

The role requires extensive overnight travel (over 50%) by land and/or air.

How you99ll contribute

ADivision Chief Financial Officer who excels in this role will focus on the following:

  • Financial Leadership:Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to the division, ensuring alignment with overall corporate goals.
    • Provide oversight and leadership on financial controls, month-end financial close, and budget preparation process. This includes preparing, delivering high detail reports to division and company leaders with ability to provide financial recommendations and explanations.

  • Strategic Leadership:Responsible for driving strategic operational and financial operations initiatives for the Division. Provide financial analysis to President of Medical Group Services, other medical group services operational leaders, Acute Division CEO/CFO and Facility Leadership, in support of operational considerations.

  • Operational Efficiency:Responsible for front and back-end revenue cycle operations including oversight of internal CBO operations and revenue cycle IT/operational vendor partners.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting:Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial planning.
  • Performance Metrics:Develop and implement financial metrics to monitor performance and drive accountability across the division.
    • Create an environment of accountability in achieving budgeted metrics and/or targets.
  • Financial Reporting:Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Risk Management:Identify and manage financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential impacts.

    • Ensure accurate financial reporting, including audit and SOX compliance.

  • Team Development:Foster a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Identify opportunities for financial operations improvement and/or increased compliance with established financial controls.

  • Stakeholder Communication:Communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives to key stakeholders, including the executive team and board of directors.Have an active role and shared governance in payor enrollment process.

  • Operational Efficiency:Drive cost management initiatives and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies to enhance profitability.Assume a lead role in analyzing and exploring means of reducing operating costs and increasing revenues based on knowledge of market trends, financial reports, and operating procedures.

What we99re looking for
Applicants should have a bachelor99s degree from an accredited school in Finance, Accounting or a related field. MBA and/or CPA preferred.

Additional requirements include:

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience in healthcare required.

  • Proven track record of managing budgets and achieving financial metrics.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.

  • High level experience with financial software and systems

Certifications:Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification Preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
