Job Summary and QualificationsThe role of theDivision Assistant Vice President Operationsserves the second in command and chief operations officer in PSG'slargest divisions. The position serves as the market representative for the Division leadership, holding providers accountable to the contracted terms and ensuring that theinterestof HCA Healthcare and the Division are met. The position will communicate regularly (monthly MOR and PRN) with the Group Vice President, DivisionCFOand the Divisions' hospitals' CEOs. This positionmonitorsthe activities and operations of all the programs components to ensure the programs meet the Division's goals of improved quality, efficiency, volume, and patient / physician satisfaction.
What you will do in this role: - You willreport to the National Group Vice President of Practice Operations
- You will haveone direct report and lead an overall team of 70+ colleagues
- You will have operational oversight of all practice operations for the Far West Division, which consists of 56 providers, 10 multi-specialty practice locations, and support for four HCA hospitals
- You willassistthe in providing leadership, direction, and management in large divisions (in excess of400 providers) for allaspects of physician operations
- You will ensurestrategic initiatives, regulatory and HCA policies and procedures are implemented efficientlyand effectively in all clinics
- You will overseethe strategic direction to significant numbers of physicians and advanced practice providers often in geographically isolated areas and submarkets
- You will workeffectively with DVP, serving as liaison to hospital CEOs and Division Leadership to meet the needs of the organization and HCA Healthcare
- You will helpdevelop and drive the strategic direction of the markets in conjunction with the Division and the hospital CEOs
- You will oversee the overall responsibility for the functions of the practices in the assigned markets to ensure maximum,utilizationof resources and theefficient delivery of services
- You will workeffectively with HCA Physician Services management and support teams and the physician recruiting function of HCA Physician Services and hospital liaisons to support the placement of qualified physicians in employed practices
- You willparticipatein annual budgeting process including analysis of staffing levels and recommends actionstoeliminatenegative variance
- You will oversee and manageall employed physicians and practicesin accordance withHCAPS standards and policies ensuring that each practice meets and/orexceeds their financial targets
- You willbe responsibleforimplementing and tracking all quality initiatives in conjunction with HCA and other regulatory standards, to include facilitation of quarterly quality reviews and providing for problem resolutions
- You will develop and implementvolume growth initiatives and performance metrics. Works effectively with sales and marketing toenhance our growth initiatives
- You will perform other duties as assigned
What qualifications you will need:- Bachelor's degree business administration, healthcare administration or related fieldrequired
- Master's degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field preferred
- 5+ years experience in practice management
- Experience in managing multiple physician practices across a wide geographic area
