Position Summary Safety 360! Seeking a safety passionate professional with a can-do attitude, who can act with urgency and innovation regarding our safety culture and employees. The successful candidate must be a self-starter with effective communication and leadership skills. Preference for candidates with manufacturing HSE experience.
Responsibilities This position will lead, manage, and coordinate all aspects of division goals and objectives in Environmental, Health and Safety.
Key focus points will include (1) Accident Prevention, (2) EHS Regulatory Compliance, (3) Energy management and use reduction, (4) Waste Minimization, (5) Management Systems
Essential Functions:
- Develop and conduct safety processes and training which provide ongoing safety awareness, emergency response, and safety orientation.
- Development, delivery, and maintenance of all required OSHA written management processes to include recordkeeping requirements per local, state, and federal regulations.
- Leads/assists in the investigation of all recordable, near hits and first aid incidents. Assures proper root cause investigation, documentation and follow up.
- Audits and monitors all work areas for safety hazards and OSHA compliance. Develop/conduct department safety checklist (weekly-monthly).
- Manage division worker's compensation and insurance programs.
- Development and execution of risk prevention activities to include hazardous materials exposure, accidents, fires, ergonomic assessments or other unsafe conditions.
- Budget/control costs and manage annual expenditures with finance.
- Oversee facilities and maintenance team, to ensure appropriate service to division's maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment.
- Other duties related to division/site safety and health initiatives as directed by the corporation and/or local, state, federal regulations.
Qualifications - 5+ years of experience and Bachelor's preferred in Safety, Engineering, or related field desired.- Strong working knowledge of EHS regulations, multi-state experience helpful.- Experience in a manufacturing environment.- Experience in Ergonomics and Behavior Based safety, a plus.- Must be able to travel and work out of the office.- Strong presentation skills.- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English, a plus.Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule Competitive Compensation- Participation in Annual and Long-Term Incentive Programs
