Full Job Description
We have an opportunity for a Commercial and Retail Distribution Supervisor to join our Delavan, WI team. You will lead distribution and logistics operations supporting commercial and retail channels while ensuring safe, accurate, and timely shipment execution. You will oversee warehouse and logistics team activities, optimize space utilization, coordinate priorities across functions, and develop a high-performing team focused on delivering exceptional customer service and consistent business results. You will: • Lead daily distribution and logistics operations, including shipping execution, workforce planning, carrier coordination, order prioritization, and outbound performance to meet customer and business requirements. • Oversee the teams by providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities that foster employee growth, engagement, and accountability. • Maintain a safe work environment for all associates with an emphasis on safety programs, standard work, regulatory compliance, and accident-free work areas. • Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, Customer Service, and Operations teams to establish priorities, align resources, and ensure customer commitments are achieved. • Manage operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, tracking, and monitoring KPIs, reviewing performance metrics, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions to drive continuous improvement. • Optimize warehouse layouts, inventory flow, storage locations, and overall space utilization to support growth and improve operational efficiency. • Lead initiatives to expand and improve shipping and distribution capabilities while identifying opportunities to enhance productivity, accuracy, service levels, and throughput. • Manage employee performance through clear expectations, regular feedback, coaching conversations, and development planning while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. • Serve as a change agent by identifying opportunities to improve logistics processes, warehouse organization, material flow, and operational effectiveness using Lean methodology. • Support team member selection, onboarding, training, succession planning, and talent development activities to build a team of high-performing individuals who consistently deliver results. • Lead a team of logistics professionals to ensure products are distributed safely, accurately, and efficiently while escalating issues and leveraging regional support resources as needed. Key Qualifications: • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience supervising distribution, warehouse, logistics, shipping, or supply chain activities, including leadership of non-exempt employees. • Demonstrated experience leading logistics or distribution operations within a manufacturing, warehouse, or fulfillment environment. • Proven success coaching, mentoring, and developing teams while driving accountability and performance results. • Experience coordinating cross-functional priorities with Production, Planning, Operations, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams. • Experience using Lean, 5S/6S, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools; formal Operational Excellence training or certification is preferred. • Ability to monitor and report on key metrics, including safety, quality, productivity, employee performance, inventory accuracy, shipping performance, and customer service levels. • Demonstrated ability to optimize warehouse space, improve material flow, and support operational growth initiatives. • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP (S4/Hana preferred), scanners, and other technology used to support distribution operations. • Ability to maintain, operate, and certify team members on forklifts, reach trucks, lifts, and related equipment as required in accordance with OSHA standards. Coordinate with EHS to maintain licensing and recertification program. • Ability to lift to fifty pounds as needed and work extended hours, nights, or weekends when required to support business needs. Compensation: For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $71000 - $131800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
