Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent Position
Schedule: 7-days on, 7-days off rotation with 12-hour workdaysDuties & Responsibilities- Install and maintain hardware for the Wenco Fleet Management System (FMS) on mobile mining equipment.
- Deploy and manage Rajant networking infrastructure.
- Maintain onboard radios and trailer repeaters for the industrial network.
- Efficiently manage parts inventory.
- Prioritize and perform repairs related to radio systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems and components on mobile mining equipment.
- Handle AC voltage and wiring, including minor repair of generators for high-voltage lighting and heavy equipment heater systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience & Qualification- Red Seal Certification (Electrician)
- A minimum of 4-5 years of related industrial experience, specifically in a maintenance capacity within a mining or similar heavy industrial environment.
- Familiarity with Wenco Fleet Management System (FMS) or similar dispatch system hardware and software.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing radio hardware.
- Completion of Grade 12
- Valid Driver's License
Technical Competencies & Skills- Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts; on a 7x7 rotation.
- Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities, especially with dispatch personnel, equipment operators, and the IT Department.
- Physical fitness to perform labor-intensive tasks, including working at heights and in tight areas.
- Proficient in network troubleshooting and repair.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize projects and tasks effectively.
- Good English communication skills both oral and written.
- Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Proven safety and attendance record.
- Knowledge of computer maintenance systems.
