We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for an Assistant Director opportunity at our Byhalia, Mississippi Distribution Center. Responsibilities of the position include: - Evaluate the effectiveness of, and recommend alternatives for, work methods, procedures, controls and staffing thus achieving accurate and timely movement and processing of product
- Manage projects such as analyzing e-Commerce needs with regards to capacity and strategy for growth resulting in meeting and/or exceeding company expectations and budget requirements
- Provide recommendations to the Director for the DC's financial budget, operational, people and process and service related objectives to drive continuous improvement and efficiency gains to reduce overall cost-to-serve
- Coach, train, and develop the management team, providing both informal (e.g. on-floor coaching) and formal (e.g. written evaluation) job performance feedback to ultimately meet and/or exceed customer expectations
- Manage Small Package/DTC operations within the Byhalia DC to ensure customer requirements are being met at the lowest possible cost with an overall goal to deliver to 98% of DTC customers in 2 days resulting in improved customer service which will support the overall company goal to increase direct to consumer business
- Oversight of all inventory control and audit functions, including annual Physical Inventory

Requirements of the position include: - A Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or equivalent. A Master's degree is preferred
- Minimum of 7-10 years of Distribution Center experience with increasing responsibilities
- Several years of demonstrated experience managing a large diverse workforce including direction and development of supervisors and managers
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical and reasoning skills
- Extensive knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office and WMS software
- Engineering and/or Project Management background is considered a plus
- e-Commerce experience is highly desirable
