About the Role:

The Director of Trauma Services is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the comprehensive trauma care program within a healthcare organization. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based trauma care by coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing resources effectively. The Director will lead strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance with regulatory standards to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency. They will serve as a key liaison between clinical staff, administration, and external agencies to foster collaboration and continuous development of trauma services. Ultimately, the Director of Trauma Services drives the vision and execution of trauma care excellence, ensuring the program meets community needs and advances clinical innovation.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in trauma care or critical care nursing with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Certification in Trauma Nursing (e.g., TNCC) or equivalent clinical trauma certification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of trauma systems, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related discipline.
  • Certified Trauma Program Manager (CTPM) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working within a Level I or Level II trauma center.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning and program development in trauma services.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and trauma registry software.
