THE ROLEReporting to the VP of Strategy, Corporate Development & Ventures, the Director will own transactions and coverage areas end-to-end, from market assessment and proactive sourcing through diligence, structuring, negotiation, and post-close accountability. This is a hands-on role with substantial ownership and direct executive exposure. On transactions, the Director will lead deal teams staffed with Senior Manager- and Associate-level colleagues, directing their work across modeling, diligence, and materials preparation; as the function scales, the role is expected to grow in leadership.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Build and maintain a proactive pipeline of acquisition and investment opportunities across the data and AI landscape, developing relationships with founders, investors, and advisors to source opportunities ahead of formal processes
- Lead transaction execution: valuation and financial modeling, cross-functional diligence coordination with product, engineering, legal, and finance, negotiation support, and structuring across M&A and venture instruments
- Direct and develop deal team members across transaction workstreams, reviewing analytical output and building the team's execution standards
- Develop rigorous, well-researched perspectives on adjacent markets and competitors to inform build, buy, and partner decisions
- Define integration milestones and success metrics prior to close, and evaluate post-close performance against the original investment thesis
- Prepare executive- and board-level materials covering pipeline, transaction evaluation, and portfolio performance
- Contribute to building the team's AI-enabled deal processes and market intelligence capabilities, leveraging Everpure's own platform
WHAT YOU BRING- 8-12 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or venture capital, with substantial buy-side transaction experience and demonstrated end-to-end deal ownership
- Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities, with working command of transaction mechanics including deal structures and diligence
- Ability to develop technical fluency rapidly in enterprise infrastructure; experience in storage, data management, or AI infrastructure is a plus
- Proficiency applying AI tools to research, analysis, and transaction evaluation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive audiences
- An established network across founders, investors, and advisors that supports proprietary deal sourcing
- Experience directing junior deal team members and reviewing analytical work product
This position is based in our Santa Clara, CA office.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The annual base salary range is:
$232,000-$371,000 USD
