POSITION SUMMARY:

A Directorwho excels in this role:
Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical,
administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Perform direct patient care nursing responsibilities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current state RN license OR compact License with Utah endorsement.
Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Experience: One-year previous experience preferred.
Licenses: Must have a currentUtahstate license or Compact License with Utahendorsement
Education: Associates degree required (Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred) Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education
Certifications:BLS, ACLS, PALS within 6 months
