Full Job Description
We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Residential Services to direct and oversee the residential, supportive living, and ICRR programs in Lehigh and Bucks Counties, including expansion into additional counties. Monitor program planning, development, administration, fiscal oversight, and evaluation of services delivered. Supervise program management and staff. Ensure compliance with all funding source regulations and Agency policies and procedures. Receives general supervision from the Director of Montgomery and Lehigh County Services. Supervises and ensures training for all Residence Managers/Site Supervisors. Provides clinical supervision to residential program clinicians, as needed.

Other Responsibilities, but not all-inclusive,
  • Monitors the provision of Department operations and programs relative to the Agency's mission as staff implements services.
  • Meet regularly with program management and supervisory staff to ensure that the residential environments are safe and provide therapeutic opportunities for all individuals.
  • Provide clinical consultation and follow-up to facilitate problem resolution.
  • Evaluate the quality of rehabilitative services; meet with other internal and external supports to reinforce the smooth flow of services from one program to another for all individuals.

Qualifications:
• M.A. Degree in Human Services/Social Sciences, Healthcare or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in the MH/MR field and 2-3 years of supervisory/management experience in the MH/MR field; or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze program needs and implement change.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and program development skills.
• Ability to work independently, detail-oriented with very strong organizational skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Scope:
• Frequent talking and listening.
• Requires the ability to lift, carry, fold, kneel, reach, stack, stoop, and bend, which may include direct intervention with clients.
• Possess manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Must be available for local travel, including the transport of participants.
• May require crisis intervention in emergencies.
• May be required to attend training to become a certified agency investigator. May conduct investigations and participate in the agency rotation of on-call investigators. This requires carrying a beeper and responding to calls from the investigation hotline during on-call beeper coverage.
