Full Job Description
Position Summary

ITT Goulds Pumps is searching for a Director, Quality Systems to join their team in Seneca Falls, NY. The Director, Quality Systems will be responsible for providing leadership to the quality assurance, quality control, and warranty services teams in Seneca Falls. This role will identify and implement process improvements across the facility that result in reduction of scrap, rework, and warranty costs. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities

This position provides overall management of Quality functions including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Warranty Services. Responsibilities include:
  • Ensure the application of quality tools in the pursuit of the elimination of internal and supplier product and process nonconformance and maintaining quality systems to ensure continuation of ISO certification
  • Utilizing data from various sources (customer complaints, internal S&R, warranty requests, warranty costs, systems audits) work integrally with the operations to identify and implement product and process improvement opportunities which result in sustained reduction in scrap, rework and warranty costs. Work closely with operations and suppliers to ensure improvement opportunities are understood, investigated and effectively implemented.
  • Communicate directly with operating unit management and staff, coworkers, suppliers and bargaining unit employees. Communications take the form of written correspondence as well as face to face meetings and presentations to both internal and to external customers.
  • Apply technical knowledge to identify and recommend quality and process improvement opportunities. Work directly with internal operations, suppliers, and Global Supply Chain to develop robust process capability.
  • Identify and provide learning and development opportunities for all members of the facilities quality organization while developing broad decision making competence in them
  • Participate in and lead Lean and Value Based Six Sigma activities and efforts in support of the ITT mission, vision & values and Quality Policy
  • Maintain the quality system audit process. Liaison with ISO registrars. Supervise the management and delivery of inspection and test documentation.


Position Requirements

Education:
  • Engineering Degree (BSME preferred) or equivalent experience.

Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance Management is required
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is required
  • Previous supervisory experience is required
  • Experience in inspection and test documentation is preferred

Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
  • Demonstrated competence in implementing and maintaining formal process control methodology
  • Experience with supplier development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Excellent problem solving , analytical, organization and budgeting skills
  • Knowledge of the corrective action process
  • Ability to influence others not under direct supervision.
  • ISO Quality Management Systems and Auditing.
  • Business, foundry, manufacturing and warehousing processes.

  • Competent computer user skills including Word, Access, Excel, and Minitab


Equal Pay Act Range

Annual Salary Range $133,600.00 to $213,600.00 plus benefits and incentive plans.
