Full Job Description
Overview

The Director of Product Management plays a key role in leading a team that drives the vision and growth for SaaS and PaaS based Product platforms. This role ensures that we maintain our market leading position and provide superior end-to-end user experiences. The role is increasingly responsible for identifying where AI and automation can raise accuracy, speed, and customer and candidate experience across our solutions — and for building a product team that applies modern AI tools to how it works.

Responsibilities
  • Define and drive product strategy and initiatives for your team, leading a team of Product Managers who deliver innovative product solutions that provide superior user experiences.
  • Understand your market through market-sensing activities like engaging with clients and market research, holding your team to the same standard so market requirements and competitive shifts are understood before they show up in the roadmap.
  • Own and evangelize a clear product vision for the area and a prioritized roadmap that balances discovery, delivery, compliance, and technical investment, focusing your team on the most valuable work.
  • Ensure compliance, privacy, and security are designed into products from the start, building effective partnerships with Legal and Privacy partners, building the team's judgment around regulatory obligations.
  • Raise the bar for data-informed product management: define the key metrics for your area, ensure your teams can and do use quantitative data and qualitative research (usability testing, interviews, surveys) to drive and defend decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers, integrating their input into product decisions, and influencing, defending, and negotiating across the business — and with customers — to keep initiatives on track.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to responsibly and compliantly embed AI and intelligent automation into the product portfolio, improving screening accuracy, turnaround time, and user experience.
  • Work closely with Engineering peers to engage in feasibility, delivery, and trade-off conversations and make good prioritization decisions.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to ensure successful product launches and adoption, working alongside them to build customer feedback loops.
  • Recruit and develop a talented product management team, fostering good judgment and product taste alongside adoption of AI-assisted tools and workflows that increase the team's velocity, insight, and quality of execution.
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends in HR technologies, HCM Ecosystem, AI/ML capabilities, and SOA-based software technologies including APIs and middleware.
  • Define team goals tethered to business outcomes, holding your team to them while balancing current and future needs.
  • Direct resource allocation against financial and operational targets and resolve issues that fall outside established policy.
  • Masterfully evangelize and present complex ideas into compelling stories to large, diverse, and high-stakes groups, creating the space for your team to do their best work.
  •
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of customer-facing, enterprise-level software product management experience.
  • 4+ years of people leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of building high-performance, large technical teams.
  • Experience managing third-party technology providers through partner programs and establishing consistent and effective release processes and cadences.
  • Experience developing mission-critical enterprise software and high-volume transaction systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate and drive work forward across functions in a matrixed and agile environment.
  • Demonstrated success growing products in a regulated or compliance-sensitive domain, partnering with Legal and Privacy to design compliant products.
  • Strong data fluency: defined success metrics for your product area and up-leveled others, ensuring your reporting line prioritized high-value work and objectively evaluated progress.
  • You’ve owned results end-to-end, from definition to instrumentation to translation of those measurements into actions that drive outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and their practical application in enterprise software — sufficient to identify high-value use cases, scope them with engineering and data science, and weigh trade-offs including accuracy, cost, and compliance risk.
  • Demonstrated use of modern AI-assisted tools to improve product management execution and productivity amongst your team.
  • Experience with successfully organizing teams around market problems is a plus.
  • You can clearly explain how your company operates and makes money, what each function does, and how it all comes together.
  • Demonstrated ability to become a subject matter expert of your product area and market in months not years.
  •
