As our
Director of Process Engineering, Physician Billing, you will partner with physician billing operational leaders to understand their workflows, processes, and pain points, then translate those needs into clear requirements for Product and Engineering. You will work alongside these teams throughout development to ensure the technology meets the needs of physician billing operations and supports successful implementation.
To thrive in this role, you must have healthcare revenue cycle experience, operational experience or exposure within physician billing, people-leadership experience, and the ability to independently bridge operational and technical teams.
Here's what you will experience working in this role: - Partner with physician billing operational leadership to understand existing workflows, processes, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate physician billing operational needs into clear, buildable requirements for Product and Engineering.
- Help adapt R37 technology currently supporting hospital billing workflows to meet physician billing requirements.
- Work alongside Product and Engineering throughout development to ensure solutions make logical business sense and meet operators' needs.
- Lead discovery, process mapping, requirements documentation, testing, validation, and implementation support.
- Analyze operational data to identify root causes, trends, themes, and opportunities for automation.
- Manage and develop team members, providing direction, mentorship, and performance support.
- Present strategies, requirements, risks, progress updates, and recommended solutions to operational and executive leadership.
- Must be willing to travel up to 25%.
Required Skills: - Eight or more years of healthcare operations experience, including revenue cycle management, provider, payer, or vendor experience.
- Operational experience or meaningful exposure within the physician billing space.
- Experience leading and managing associates.
- Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, IT, or other technical teams to develop operational solutions.
- Ability to translate complex operational workflows into clear requirements, process maps, and implementation plans.
- Strong Excel skills and experience using data to identify trends, root causes, and performance opportunities.
- Knowledge of operating systems, payor portals, EHRs, and healthcare revenue cycle workflows.
- Ability to operate independently, proactively identify risks, and lead ambiguous work.
- Strong written, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new platforms and technical concepts.
For this US-based position, the base pay range is
$112,718.72 - $187,269.24 per year. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This position is eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan at a target of
20%.
