Job Description:
Director, Planning
As a Director in Planning at Omnicom Media Group, you are a proven leader responsible for the strategic vision, direction, and integrated media planning excellence across multiple client portfolios. You will serve as the senior client advisor, guide cross-functional teams, and champion innovation in media strategy. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving business outcomes, fostering top-tier client relationships, and elevating the performance of your planning teams.
Within this role you have two core areas of responsibility:
Planning Excellence for the Client
Set the strategic vision for client portfolios and lead the creation and stewardship of multi-channel media strategies that drive business results.

Act as a senior advisor to clients, providing forward-thinking counsel and identifying opportunities for partnership and innovation.

Oversee the development and delivery of major client presentations, strategic recommendations, and campaign performance analyses.

Ensure programs are continuously optimized through robust data analysis, performance monitoring, and proactive recommendations.

Advocate for clients within OMG, ensuring their objectives are met through integrated strategies and informed investment decisions.

Planning Excellence for the Team
Lead, inspire, and mentor planning teams to deliver best-in-class work and foster a culture of high performance, growth, and accountability.

Promote collaboration by partnering with activation, analytics, creative, and strategy teams to deliver cohesive and impactful plans.

Champion operational excellence by optimizing workflow, driving process improvements, and encouraging adoption of OMG tools and best practices.

Identify, develop, and retain top talent by providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and leadership opportunities.

Serve as a role model for OMG's values and culture, driving cross-team engagement and innovation.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, business, or a related field.

10+ years of progressive media planning experience, with significant leadership and client management responsibilities in an agency environment.

Proven success in developing and leading integrated media strategies for complex, high-value accounts.

Exceptional leadership, influencing, and relationship-building skills.

Advanced analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable strategic recommendations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and industry planning/analytics tools.

Strong project management skills and the ability to lead through change in a dynamic environment.

Demonstrated passion for innovation and talent development.

Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
