The Director of Weyerhaeuser Payables and Receivables (WPR) leads the company's end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring financial accuracy, operational excellence, strong internal controls, and strategic alignment with companywide objectives. The functions this leader oversees include AP (including Customer Service and Disbursements), AR, Master File Maintenance, Corporate Card, and Log Settlement Teams. This individual oversees the managers of these teams, drives continuous improvement, and collaborates with cross-functional partners and executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership and Operational Excellence:
- Communicates confidently and effectively with all levels, including Senior Management.
- Makes timely, high-impact decisions with limited oversight, understanding and anticipating implications across the entire business.
- Gains organizational consensus and trust in decision-making.
- Defines overarching AP/AR objectives and ensures alignment with broader finance and company goals.
- Leads the annual budgeting and forecasting process for the WPR organization.
- Ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Implements and maintains strong internal controls, risk management practices, and audit readiness.
- Drives continuous improvement across processes and exercises diligent cost management, including strategic management and allocation of resources.
- Champions innovation with a focus on leveraging automation and other tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Directly manages AP, AR, and Log Settlement teams, providing coaching, development, and performance management.
- Champions a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within the organization.
- Owns succession planning and actively develops current and future leaders within the organization.
- Business Partnership:
- Supports strategic initiatives, including acquisitions/divestitures, system implementations, company growth initiatives, and other organizational changes.
- Highly effective at influencing large, complex team dynamics and driving inclusion.
- Builds and leverages strategic partnerships across functions to achieve enterprise results.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 10 or more years of relevant industry experience
- Proven people leadership skills with the ability to manage, develop, inform, and coordinate large teams.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Ability to identify, analyze, investigate, and resolve risk points and control deviations.
- Comfortable presenting to leaders and team members at all levels of the organization.
- Strong, proactive leadership style with the ability to effectively manage and drive change.
- Ability to understand and effectively manage complex, ambiguous issues and own decisions with companywide impact.
- Financial reporting, planning & analysis, accounting, and/or audit experience a plus.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar credential preferred.

What We Offer:Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $157,600-$236,500 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 25% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
