Job Description:About the Role:The Director, Operations PMO & Manufacturing Network Optimization leads enterprise-wide operations transformation and manufacturing network optimization initiatives. This role helps ensure the company's manufacturing network can support strategic growth, improve productivity, and meet supply chain objectives.
This role will guide cross-functional execution, establish program governance, and lead change management for complex operational initiatives. You'll combine strategic program leadership with hands-on transformation expertise to help teams deliver initiatives effectively and realize their intended benefits.
Your portfolio may include network optimization, product transfers, plant consolidations, capacity expansions, facility startups, and continuous improvement programs.
You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:Lead Operations Transformation- Lead high-impact operational transformation programs from concept through implementation and benefit realization.
- Develop and manage integrated program plans, milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Provide clear, regular updates to executives and other stakeholders on progress, decisions, risks, and outcomes.
- Establish program governance, escalation processes, risk-management practices, and decision-making frameworks.
- Partner with senior leaders to align initiatives with corporate strategy and operational priorities.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and drive accountability for execution and results.
- Support change management so operational changes are implemented effectively and sustained.
Optimize the Manufacturing Network- Lead manufacturing network initiatives, including: Product transfers and line relocations, capacity balancing and expansions, facility startups and commissioning, manufacturing footprint optimization
- Evaluate the operational, financial, customer, and supply chain impacts of proposed network changes.
- Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and implementation strategies to support informed decisions.
- Help ensure transitions and other operational changes are planned and executed effectively.
Important Details:- This is a full-time role with travel ranging from 50-75%.
- The ideal location for this role is based in our Oak Brook, IL headquarters or in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
- The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $154,700.00 - 232,100.00 USD annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs. For certain roles, the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award, bonus and equity pay.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain, engineering, operations finance, enterprise transformation, strategy, or program management.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives across multiple functions, sites, and senior stakeholders in manufacturing required; food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Strong financial and analytical capability, including business case development, cost/savings tracking, scenario analysis, operational modeling, dashboards, and executive-level decision support.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing complexity, cost drivers, equipment performance, labor models, food safety, customer service, capacity, inventory, and operational readiness.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive results in a complex, matrixed organization without relying solely on direct authority.
