Full Job Description
The Director, Omnichannel Excellence, Scientific Education, Experience & Personalization serves as the strategic architect and subject matter expert responsible for advancing Medical Affairs omnichannel strategy and integration in pursuit of scientific education and exchange, ensuring omnichannel approaches enhance scientific exchange quality, stakeholder education and evidence communication. This role identifies unmet stakeholder needs and designs, champions, integrates, deploys, and measures innovative scientific education and engagement solutions that improve customer experience and educational outcomes. The Director develops a future-ready roadmap that aligns scientific strategy, field engagement, content, channels, analytics, technology, and emerging capabilities into coordinated, compliant, and personalized stakeholder experiences.
Responsibilities
• 10+ years of demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, Medical Affairs, or customer engagement roles.
• 5+ years of direct omnichannel strategy, customer experience, personalization, journey design, or engagement transformation experience.
• 5+ years of demonstrated Medical Affairs experience including scientific exchange, medical education, and HCP engagement.
• Demonstrated experience in both management consulting and/or pharmaceutical or biotechnology organizations.
• Identify unmet stakeholder needs and translate insights into omnichannel scientific education solutions.
• Design, champion, integrate, deploy, and measure customer-centric engagement strategies and experiences.
• Develop near-, mid-, and long-term roadmaps that advance omnichannel maturity and scientific education excellence.
• Lead omnichannel design thinking, stakeholder journey mapping, and experience design efforts.
• Integrate MSL engagement, scientific content, digital channels, analytics, publishers, and technology into coordinated journeys.
• Partner with Regulatory, Legal, Privacy, and Compliance to promote compliant and scientifically balanced interactions.
• Drive personalization through segmentation, behavioral insights, engagement signals, and customer intelligence.
• Evaluate and apply emerging technologies including AI, automation, predictive analytics, and advanced engagement platforms.
• Establish governance frameworks, standards, and best practices to ensure consistent medical affairs omnichannel execution
• Establish measurement frameworks, KPIs, test-and-learn plans, and optimization strategies.
• Upskill Medical Affairs teams through workshops, coaching, playbooks, and adoption of omnichannel best practices.
Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree required; advanced degree preferred (PharmD, PhD, MD, MPH, MS, MBA, or related discipline).
• Deep understanding of scientific education strategy and the healthcare professional engagement ecosystem.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the scientific publisher landscape and third-party education platforms.
• Proven understanding of channel use cases across MSL engagement, medical websites, webinars, congresses, CRM-enabled engagement, email, publishers, peer-to-peer education, and professional social platforms.
• Subject matter expertise in omnichannel strategy, journey orchestration, personalization, and customer experience design.
• Proven experience translating strategy into implementation through engagement models, governance, processes, and technology-enabled solutions.
• Demonstrated success leading highly matrixed cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Proven experience partnering with Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, and Privacy functions.
• Proven ability to evaluate appropriate channel roles, content strategies, and engagement approaches based on stakeholder needs.
• Demonstrated expertise in emerging technologies including AI, predictive analytics, and automation.
• Strong cross-functional leadership, change management, and organizational capability-building skills.
• Ability to develop future-ready roadmaps while simultaneously driving near-term implementation and measurable impact.
• This role is hybrid in Nutley, NJ requiring working in-office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every week.

Eisai Salary Transparency Language:
The annual base salary range for the Director, Omnichannel Excellence, Scientific Education and Evidence Communication is from :$193,600-$254,100
Under current guidelines, this position is eligible to participate in : Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan & Eisai Inc. Long Term Incentive Plan.
Final pay determinations will depend on various factors including but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, and skills.
