Job Purpose:

The ideal candidate will exhibit deep technical expertise in storage technologies, including cloud, on-premise, and hybrid solutions for Object, File, and Block Storage, SAN, NAS, and Backup & Recovery systems. This role demands the ability to understand customer requirements, effectively map them to our VES offerings to drive business growth, and provide actionable insights to product management on competitive pricing, market trends, and technological advancements. Additionally, the candidate will actively participate in industry events to enhance company visibility. Also have hardware architecture know-how for compute and storage systems.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise:

oStrong understanding of computerarchitecture and associated technologies

- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of storage solutions, including Cloud, on-premise, and hybrid implementations, Object, File, and Block Storage technologies, SAN and NAS architectures, Backup and Recovery solutions.

oStay ahead of industry trends, innovations, and competitor offerings to sustain technical leadership in the field.

Presales Activities:

oCollaborate with sales teams to define customer needs and provide tailored technical solutions.

- Drive responses to RFP / RFI

oMap customer requirements to Sanmina Corporation's product and service offerings, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

oConduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) implementations to highlight value propositions.

oAct as the technical point of contact during the pre-sales lifecycle to address questions and concerns.

oHelp the team build a strong client relationship to acquire new customers and foster long-term partnerships.

oProvide valuable insights and feedback to product management teams regarding Competitor pricing models, Emerging market trends, New and innovative technologies in storage solutions.

Collaboration and Engagement:

oRepresent the company at trade shows, conventions, customer functions, and industry-wide events to promote solutions and build networks.

oWork closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and R&D, to ensure alignment on technical strategies and objectives.

Team Leadership:

oBuild and manage a high-performing technical presales and support team.

oProvide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

oOversee the technical presales and support operations to ensure seamless execution of projects.

oIdentify and recruit top talent to strengthen the team's capabilities.

Education and Experience:

o BS / MSin Engineering, Computer Science or a related field with 7+ years of experience in the industry (Software/Firmware solutions in storage and/or AI/ML)

oProven expertise in Software, and Hardware technologies.

oExtensive background in storage solutions such as SAN, NAS, Backup and Recovery systems, Object, File, and Block Storage.

oFamiliarity with hybrid and on-premise storage implementations.

oExcellent understanding of storage protocols and storage virtualization.

oExperience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) is a plus.

oStrong client relationship-building skills for acquiring new customers.

oExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and energetic environment.

oExceptional communication and negotiation skills.

oStrong presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences.

Salary Range (annual): $150,000-$200,000

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
