Full Job Description
ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril's Space team is at the forefront of advancing national security capabilities in the space domain. Our mission is twofold: 1) develop autonomous satellite systems and space-based platforms, and 2) deliver critical ground and orbital software infrastructure at scale. We transform products and capabilities across space command and control (C2), mission management, and space operations from early concepts into fully operational systems by partnering closely with specialist engineering, operations, and production teams. Through our integrated approach, we design and deploy space software systems using advanced algorithms, distributed architectures, and resilient infrastructure-delivering reliable, mission-critical capabilities that support operators across orbital and ground-based assets. Space Systems hires software engineers and systems engineers who are excited to build across a diverse and powerful portfolio-from satellite operations software to space domain awareness platforms. Our teams contribute to highly capable autonomous space systems and ground software products that operate reliably in the most demanding mission environments, supporting the DOD and IC in defending our national interests in space.
ABOUT THE JOB

We're seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to lead a flagship space-based radar program. You will own end-to-end execution of this massive initiative spanning radar payload development, spacecraft integration, ground systems, and mission operations. This role demands deep technical fluency in radar systems and algorithms combined with the ability to drive large-scale program execution, manage executive-level customer relationships, and coordinate across hardware, software, and operations teams. You'll be the central figure ensuring this critical program delivers on time, on budget, and exceeds mission requirements.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Own program execution including schedule, budget, risk management, and delivery across all phases from development through launch and on-orbit operations
  • Serve as primary technical and programmatic interface with government customer, leading executive-level reviews, milestone demonstrations, and strategic planning
  • Drive technical decision-making across radar architecture, algorithm development, antenna development, spacecraft integration, and ground systems ensuring sound engineering trades and system performance
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across radar engineering, antenna, software, spacecraft, mission operations, production, and test teams
  • Build and lead a high-performing program management team and establish scalable processes for execution at program scale
  • Translate customer mission needs into engineering requirements and program plans, working closely with the Head of Radar Engineering and technical leads
  • Lead systems engineering processes including requirements management, interface control, V&V, and technical risk mitigation
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering discipline (e.g., Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Systems Engineering)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to distill complex technical concepts, risks, and status into clear, actionable insights for both deeply technical and executive audiences
  • Experience with the deployment and integration of sophisticated hardware and software systems - particularly for national security space systems
  • Experience with building and leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience serving DoD/IC customers and comfortable interfacing with key government stakeholders on a frequent basis
  • Adaptive and introspective; willing to learn, teach, lead and follow
  • Comfortable with setting and achieving goals in an amorphous environment
  • Comfortable with working in limited resource environments
  • Prior engineering work on space systems or missile defense systems is a plus
  • Ability to travel up multiples times per quarter based on program needs
  • Active U.S. Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Direct experience with space-based radar, SAR, GMTI, or RF sensing payload programs
  • Background in radar algorithm development, signal processing implementation, or real-time processing architectures
  • Hands-on engineering experience in radar systems or space systems prior to program management
  • Experience with DoD/IC acquisition processes and earned value management
  • Experience managing programs through launch campaigns and on-orbit operations
  • Prior systems engineering role on satellite payloads or complex defense systems
  • Experience with NewSpace development approaches and rapid iteration
