Full Job Description
Overview

The minimum and maximum projected annualized salary for this position is: $176,966.00 to $303,371.00. Additional compensation may be possible based on experience and skills.

The success of this position is reliant on face-to-face interaction and requires 100% on-site work.

Responsibilities

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a strategic, financially sophisticated executive to help shape the next chapter of Eagle Bancorp's growth. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the CEO, Board, and executive leadership team, this role will serve as a central driver of enterprise strategy, long-range planning, investor messaging, and disciplined evaluation of strategic growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will bring solid business judgment, executive presence, and the ability to translate market insight, financial analysis, and stakeholder perspectives into clear priorities and actionable plans. This is a highly visible role suited for someone who wants to operate at the intersection of strategy, finance, capital markets, and public-company leadership while helping position the Company for sustainable, well-governed growth.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in finance, economics, business, or related field
  • 12 years across some mix of corporate strategy, corporate development, investor relations, investment banking (FIG coverage), management consulting, or senior bank operating roles
  • Track record of building and executing multi-year strategic plans adopted at the executive and Board level
  • Experience leading strategic consulting projects or comparable advisory engagements is desirable, particularly where the work involved structuring ambiguous problems, managing senior stakeholders, and translating recommendations into executable plans
  • Experience supporting or overseeing public-company investor relations, including investor messaging, earnings materials, shareholder engagement, analyst relations, and cross-functional disclosure coordination
  • Experience operating in or advising regulated depository institutions, with working fluency in the capital, liquidity, and risk dynamics of bank growth and the supervisory expectations that scale with size
  • Proven success supporting CEO/CFO/Board decision-making and leading cross-functional, high-stakes initiatives
  • Experience partnering with an enterprise project management office or comparable transformation/governance function to drive execution of cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Structured problem-solving — brings order to ambiguous, unstructured problems and synthesizes to board-grade recommendations.
  • Advanced financial modeling and valuation; deep comfort with bank financials and the metrics that inform deal evaluation, capital planning discussions, and strategic decision support.
  • Exceptional executive communication, storytelling, and presence; high proficiency in building Board, investor, and analyst-facing materials.
  • Influence without authority; able to align a matrixed organization and manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Balances long-term vision with disciplined, executable outcomes — a strategist who can evaluate options rigorously and communicate them clearly.
  • High integrity and sound judgment operating in a regulated, public-company environment.

Preferences:

  • Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS)
  • Strategy-consulting or corporate-finance pedigree a plus (top-tier management consulting background is helpful but not required where equivalent operating or deal experience is demonstrated)
  • Experience evaluating strategic transactions or partnerships, ideally including bank or financial-institution opportunities, with familiarity in valuation, structuring, diligence, integration, and capital implications
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) viewed favorably
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) viewed favorably
