Position Summary
The Director of Sales is responsible for global sales efforts for Executive Education. The position develops and executes strategies that generate revenue growth through proactive outreach, relationship development, consultative sales, and strategic partnerships. This position is accountable for meeting established business development, enrollment, pipeline, and revenue objectives while expanding awareness and market presence for Executive Education offerings.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead Sales and Revenue Growth

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that generates revenue growth across Executive Education open enrollment, certificate, and custom programs. This position is accountable for meeting established revenue goals through proactive sales, relationship development, and strategic outreach activities.

Responsibilities include:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with organizational decision-makers, and strategic partners to generate new business opportunities.
  • Lead proactive sales efforts through organizational buyer (B2B) sales strategies.
  • Identify, cultivate, and advance prospective clients and participants through all stages of the sales pipeline.
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies that create sustainable enrollment and revenue pipelines rather than relying solely on inbound inquiries.
  • Conduct consultative sales meetings and discovery conversations with corporate executives, HR, Learning & Development leaders, government agencies, alumni, and prospective participants.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Dean on custom program opportunities, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
  • Meet established enrollment, pipeline, and revenue goals.


Develop and Manage Strategic Business Development Channels

Develop, cultivate, and manage business development channels that increase awareness of Executive Education and generate future opportunities.

Responsibilities include:
  • Identify and cultivate alumni in leadership and organizational decision-making positions through LinkedIn research and other outreach activities.
  • Develop relationships with HR, Talent, and Learning & Development associations and professional organizations.


Pipeline Management and Business Development Operations

Maintain accurate sales pipeline information and use CRM tools to support business development planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities include:
  • Maintain complete and accurate CRM records, including prospect activity, next steps, and pipeline progression.
  • Monitor and report on business development activity, enrollment pipeline, and revenue forecasts.
  • Participate in regular pipeline review meetings and recommend strategies to advance opportunities.
  • Evaluate outreach effectiveness and recommend adjustments to improve lead generation, conversion, and enrollment outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
