Director of Revenue CyclePosition Overview:The Director of Revenue Cycle provides leadership and oversight of revenue cycle operations across multiple skilled nursing and long-term care communities. This role is responsible for optimizing accounts receivable performance, billing accuracy, collections, cash flow management, denial resolution, payer relationships, regulatory compliance, and revenue cycle process improvement.
The position partners with finance, operations, clinical, and business office leaders to maximize reimbursement, reduce bad debt, improve collections, and support organizational financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership to Business Office Managers.
- Coach, mentor, and develop revenue cycle team members.
- Establish accountability and performance expectations.
Revenue Cycle Operations
- Oversee billing processes for Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Private Pay.
- Ensure timely and accurate claim submission.
- Standardize revenue cycle processes across communities.
Accounts Receivable & Collections
- Drive aggressive AR management processes.
- Monitor aging reports and collection activity.
- Reduce bad debt and improve cash collections.
Denials & Appeals Management
- Oversee denial management programs.
- Coordinate appeals processes.
- Perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Financial Reporting & Analytics
- Analyze monthly AR reports and trends.
- Prepare forecasts and reports for senior leadership.
- Recommend performance improvement initiatives.
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Develop billing and collection policies.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Partner with organizational leaders on process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:- Minimum five years of accounts receivable management experience in a skilled nursing environment.
- Minimum three years of leadership experience.
- Multi-facility healthcare revenue cycle experience.
- Knowledge of long-term care billing and collections.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Microsoft Office and financial software proficiency.
