Job Summary: The Director of Rehabilitation Services will plan, administer, and direct operation of rehabilitation programs such as physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Responsible for the overall success of their assigned program/s. They will report directly to Regional Director of Therapy.
Supervisory Responsibilities: - Oversees the daily workflow of the Rehab Department.
- As a facility department head, will actively participate within the interdisciplinary team (IDT)
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities: - Carries a clinical caseload
- Provide direction and leadership to all therapy staff
- Ensures program compliance through review for accurate billing, documentation, and support to therapy staff.
- Responsible for maintaining optimal staffing mix. Including recruitment, orientation, development, retention, scheduling, and employee engagement of therapy staff.
- Clinical management of therapy department through patient identification, case management, care planning, and clinical utilization.
- Collaborate with facility leadership to drive clinical excellence and supportive facility culture
- Ensures rehabilitation staff is providing appropriate care to Resident in keeping with established standards for quality and in accordance with generally established principles of care.
- Supervises the scheduling of residents for therapy services considering available treatment hours, staff resources and overall plan of care.
- Manages the evaluation and development of in-house therapy programs including equipment assessment and staffing ratios.
- Completes required forms and documents timely, in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: - Current state licensure as PT/PTA, OT/COTA, or SLP
- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate in allied health field PT/PTA, OT/COTA, or SLP
- Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards
- Prior management experience in Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
- Preferred prior Net Health (formerly Rehab Optima) experience
Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.
- Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
