This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who understands how great planning connects the entire business-from customer demand and materials to plant capacity, inventory, and execution. You'll lead a multi-site planning organization, partner closely with Operations and Commercial leadership, and help us continue building more consistent, data-driven planning processes across CBG.

What You'll Do

As Director of Planning, you'll oversee demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and customer planning across our manufacturing network.

You will:
  • Lead planning activities across our North Carolina, Minnesota, and Texas facilities
  • Drive demand, supply, inventory, and capacity planning processes
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Customer Service, Finance, and Commercial teams to align customer demand with operational capabilities
  • Lead monthly forecast reviews and planning discussions
  • Identify capacity, material, inventory, and supply risks before they impact our customers
  • Lead, coach, and develop Planning Supervisors, Key Account Planning Managers, and other planning team members
  • Establish consistent planning processes, expectations, and accountability across all locations
  • Drive improvements in inventory performance, working capital, and inventory turns
  • Support new customer onboarding, new product introductions, and commercialization activities
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, service levels, schedule attainment, capacity utilization, and other key planning metrics
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning tools, systems, SOPs, reporting, and cross-functional communication
  • Support ERP, MRP, and planning system enhancements

What Success Looks Like

You'll help CBG improve:
  • Forecast accuracy and planning reliability
  • Customer service and supply-risk visibility
  • Inventory turns and working capital
  • Capacity utilization and schedule attainment
  • Material availability
  • Planning consistency across all locations
  • Development and succession readiness of our planning team

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7-10 years of planning, supply chain, operations, or manufacturing experience
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of demand planning, inventory planning, capacity planning, and materials management
  • ERP/MRP systems experience; SAP experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional problem solving and communicate business risks effectively
  • Experience developing teams and building accountability
  • Multi-site manufacturing experience preferred
  • Beverage, food, CPG, or other high-volume manufacturing experience preferred
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus
