As a full time, exempt Clinical Pharmacy Manager at The Brook in Louisville, KY you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws with the assistance and oversight of 5 Pharmacists and 6 Pharmacy Technicians. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team.
Schedule: This is a full time role plus weekend on call 1 weekend a month
About the Facility: The Brook Hospital - KMI is a 98 bed, Joint Commission accredited facility that offers psychiatric and substance abuse treatment for adolescents ages 5-17, adults and seniors. Adolescent services include Psychiatric Inpatient, Extended Care Inpatient, Substance Use Treatment & Recovery Rehabilitation (STAR), Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Dual Diagnosis Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Psychiatric Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Substance Use Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient (IOP). Adult services Psychiatric Inpatient, Substance Use Inpatient, Substance Use Rehabilitation, Transitional Residential Living House for Men (TL House) and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ETC).
The Dupont location is all adult admissions
About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 7:30AM to 4:00PM. The pharmacy utilizes Omnicell automated cabinets, HCS pharmacy order entry services, CPOE and EMAR. Weekend remote on call at least once a month or as needed. 4 Hours Saturday and 4 Hours Sunday
Primary Responsibilities:- Lead and manage hospital pharmacy operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely medication distribution
- Supervise, coach, and develop pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, and interns
- Oversee medication safety and quality initiatives, reducing errors and improving patient outcomes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, including Joint Commission, USP, and state/federal laws
- Manage departmental budgets, inventory, and purchasing, controlling costs while maintaining service levels
- Collaborate with clinical leaders and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and organizational goals
- Implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics, driving continuous improvement and accountability

Required Qualifications:- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
- Current Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
- Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
- Proven ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
- Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
Preferred Qualification:- Behavioral Health experience
