Full Job Description
About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on, people-first HR leader to own the US employee experience at Botify. As Director of People & Culture, you'll lead our US People team, partner closely with global leadership, and shape what it feels like to work at Botify, whether employees are in our New York office or working remotely across the country. This is a high-visibility role for someone who can balance strategy and execution, moves quickly, and builds trust at every level of the organization.
Many of our employees work on site every day, and we believe they deserve a People Partner who is right there with them. Being in the office makes it easier to build trust, offer support in the moment, and be available for the conversations that don't always happen over email or video. Showing up in person is how we let our on-site team know that their experience matters and that support is always within reach. What You'll Do
People Leadership & HR Operations
Lead, coach, and develop the US People team, setting priorities and ensuring best-in-class service to employees and managers.
Serve as a trusted advisor to US leaders on employee relations, performance management, organizational design, and team health.
Own US HR operations, including onboarding and offboarding, HRIS data integrity, policies, handbook, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment law.
Partner with global People leadership to align US programs with company-wide strategy while adapting for US requirements.
Support compensation, benefits, and annual cycles (performance reviews, merit, benefits renewal) in partnership with global teams and vendors.
Office & Workplace Experience
Own the management and experience of the NYC office, including vendor relationships, facilities, budget, health and safety, and day-to-day operations.
Create an in-office environment that makes coming in worthwhile, through thoughtful space planning, events, and rituals that build connection and culture.
Remote & Employee Experience
Design and deliver an equitable, engaging experience for remote employees so they feel as connected and supported as in-office colleagues.
Drive engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communications that reinforce Botify's culture and values.
Use engagement surveys, feedback, and people data to identify trends, measure impact, and recommend action.
Partner on learning and development and manager-enablement programs to grow talent and strengthen leadership capability.
What You Bring
8+ years of HR experience, including at least 3 years managing an HR or People team.
Experience as an HR generalist or HRBP in a fast-paced tech, SaaS, or high-growth environment; experience in a global or multinational company is a strong plus.
Deep working knowledge of US employment law and HR compliance, particularly New York.
Demonstrated experience managing office operations or workplace experience, and supporting distributed or hybrid teams.
Strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive employee matters with empathy and fairness.
Excellent communication skills and executive presence in the office; comfortable influencing senior leaders and partnering across time zones.
A builder's mindset: you're comfortable rolling up your sleeves, improving processes, and making things better than you found them. You have a strong interest in AI and maybe some experience with it helping better People processes.
Proficiency with PEO & HRIS Systems and people tools (BambooHR, Justworks, etc).
