Director - Operations
SUMMARYOversees directly through direct reports, all Region activities including but not limited to, operations, strategic planning, financials, sales, safety, equipment, and personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Advises and coordinates operations and administrative managers to facilitate problem resolution
- Plans fixed asset requirements, creates the capital budget, and initiates and approves AFESs
- Reviews and approves various transactions in accordance with approval authority tables and other company policies and procedures
- Reviews financial reports to develop strategies for managing financial performance of the region
- Leads the region's efforts at managing safety and environmental exposure
- Advises Field Operators, Shift Supervisors and Operations Managers overseeing operations
- Assures effective implementation of Basics to Success and oversees audits of effectiveness
- Communicates with various corporate departments on issues of concern for the region
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must be able to travel monthly 50 - 60%
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCERequired:
- Bacherlor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years' experience in a manager/supervisor position
- Knowledge of oilfield/field operations and equipment
- Intermediate to strong computer skills
- Strong communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with inside and outside contacts
- Ability to multi-task and work in a high stress environment
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of and experience in the well servicing or related oil and gas environment; Knowledge and experience in DOT regulations
- Ability to analyze and assess financial reports
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
COMPUTER- Skilled in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Skype)
- Comfortable with computer applications in general
