Responsibilities

  • Organize and control operational activities to meet cost and profit objectives
  • Ensure delivery and execution of contracted janitorial services
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers at client sites
  • Maintain communication across all client locations via various methods
  • Develop operational knowledge and management skills of supervisors and managers
  • Monitor overall site performance and implement necessary changes
  • Facilitate timely billing and collections with clients and internal teams
  • Collaborate with 3rd party vendors for supplies and equipment
  • Negotiate staffing or compensation plan adjustments based on site needs
  • Support business development efforts in partnership with the sales team
Full Job Description
Summary:

Responsible for organizing, directing, and controlling operational activities across division, to achieve specified cost and profit objectives and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with contract specifications across our clients.

Essential Duties:
  • Possess a detailed knowledge of the operations at each site (contract, scope of work, building type, client nuances, etc..).
  • Assure the delivery and execution of all contracted janitorial services within the division.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers at all client locations.
  • Maintain frequent communication and contact across all client sites via phone calls, emails, and site visits.
  • Work closely with supervisors and managers to develop their operational knowledge and management capabilities.
  • Continuously monitor the overall performance of each site and make appropriate changes as needed.
  • Work directly with client and internal teams to ensure billing and collections are processed in a timely manner.
  • Partner with local and national 3rd party vendors and suppliers for onsite material, supplies and equipment.
  • Negotiate modifications to compensation or staffing plans based on site specific needs.
  • Work with sales team to develop and grow the business / represent the GDI brand.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversight of all employees within the division with direct supervision of all employees reporting to sites within territory including but not limited Account Managers, Area/District Managers, and Regional Operations Managers.

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of multi-unit, high volume Operations Leadership.
  • Full manufacturing facility experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing safety experience preferred.
  • UAW experience preferred.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and make sound decisions in stressful situations.
  • Strong customer service and employee relations skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Able to multi-task.
  • Ability to show judgment and to work independently.
