A day in the life:
As a Director of Operations and Communications, you will sit at the center point of the company, moving between conversations with leadership, department heads, and frontline teams, translating high-level decisions into clear next steps while keeping a careful line between what's ready to share and what's still confidential. You will own the communication strategy, waterfall, and the platform where updates and initiatives are readily visible for the team. Days may be spent building and refining communications for a rollout, producing toolkits and ensuring proper change management sequencing, or following up with the people accountable for action items, flagging what's falling behind, and gently but firmly keeping deadlines on track. Alongside this, you'll carry operational responsibilities: looking at a process that's causing friction, mapping out where it breaks down, and sketching a more effective and efficient way forward. You'll work with stakeholders, source feedback, lead meetings and on-sites, and strategize, making your people skills critical to success.
