Full Job Description
We are seeking a well-trained, seasoned DON with Medicare experience to guide, lead and build a fast growing, results oriented Home Health and Home care business. As the fastest growing home care agency in Always Best Care franchise, we are expanding our services to skilled nursing. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for the coordination and serving as a liaison with affiliate departments and committees. He/she will direct and supervise professional and auxiliary personnel rendering patient care services, performing marketing duties and communicating the concept of quality client care to the general community. The Director of Nursing will have primary responsibility for leadership and supervision to ensure that key process indicators are met.

Additional responsibilities:
• Develops a process to monitor appropriate utilization of services.• Directs the implementation of service goals and objectives. • Develops standards that ensure safe and effective services to clients and families• Monitors caseloads and provides leadership in peak periods• Monitors clinical record review process. Case coordination oversight.• Develops plan for ongoing in-services and staff development. Develops parameters, establishes best practices and teaches field nurses the agency standards.• Manages ongoing education for clinical staff - keeping program personnel up-to-date with clinical information including orientation, in-service education and continuing education.• Collaborates in the development of an effective and efficient client care documentation system including statistical compilation and analysis relative to cost and staff service delivery.• Coordinates Quality Improvement activities with timely implementation of corrective action plans and ongoing monitors• Manages the coding process.• Services on and periodically reviews policies relevant to patient care with the Professional Advisory Committee.• Consults with physicians in matters relating to patient care services.• Participates as needed in the Agency's overall sales and marketing efforts of the Agency.
Job Requirements

Ideal candidate will have at least 3 -5 years of experience in a Medicare Home Health environment, hold a current APRN, RN license in the state of employment, and have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Ideal candidate will also have a proven track record of leading and managing teams with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role, plus have an outstanding desire to provide great customer service and creative clinical management.
