Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our exceptional nursing team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about quality care, team development, and resident-centered outcomes.
As the Director of Nursing (DON), you will oversee all clinical operations in our
58-bed, CMS 5-Star rated skilled nursing facility, ensuring the highest standards of care while fostering a positive, collaborative culture for residents and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership for all nursing services and clinical operations
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain survey readiness and promote continuous quality improvement
- Recruit, mentor, coach, and retain high-performing nursing staff
- Partner with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to achieve operational and clinical goals
- Monitor quality measures, infection prevention, staffing, and resident outcomes
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, compassion, and clinical excellence
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, physicians, and community partners
Qualifications- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut
- Previous Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and survey process
- Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Demonstrated success in improving clinical quality and staff engagement
- Passion for delivering exceptional resident-centered care
