Director of Nursing - Resident Home
Role Summary
The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees all nursing care and clinical operations within the Resident Home. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of resident care, safety, and strict regulatory compliance within the skilled nursing facility.
Key Responsibilities
Nursing Operations: Oversee daily clinical operations, manage nursing budgets, and ensure appropriate staffing and resource allocation to meet resident needs.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to State of Illinois and federal long-term care regulations. Lead survey readiness efforts and maintain Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) standards.
Staff Management: Direct the recruitment, retention, and professional development of the nursing team. Conduct performance reviews and provide mentorship to ensure a high-performing clinical staff.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff, therapy services, and hospital administration to foster a patient-centered environment and integrated care delivery.
