Director of IT - Kapco Grafton, WI

Kapco is looking for an innovative IT leader who has experience implementing emerging technologies in a growing, diverse manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor, providing guidance on how technology can be a catalyst for growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage. We've made significant investments into our ERP & Business Intelligence platforms and this individual will play a critical role in ensuring we leverage, scale & maximize our investments.

Position Responsibilities:

  • IT Strategy: Understands the unique needs of each business division & translates that into a clear, actionable IT strategy that aligns with the company's overall vision
  • IT Infrastructure: Leads the IT shared service, including all IT infrastructure & Helpdesk support operations, as well as the cybersecurity function for Kapco & our family of companies
  • IT Applications & Systems:Oversees critical manufacturing platforms such as ERP (Plex), WMS (Cella), CRM (Salesforce) and other platforms to ensure reliability, scalability & data integrity
  • Vendor & Budget Management:Manages relationships with strategic technology partners and oversees IT operating & capital budgets
  • Business Transformation: Work with leaders across the business to identify technology pain points & maintain a funnel of high impact technology opportunities to address those needs
  • Technology Advocacy: Stay abreast of current and emerging technologies in the manufacturing & supply chain space, including areas such as Industry 4.0, Business Intelligence, AI & others
  • Team Leadership:Builds and leads a high-performing IT team, fostering collaboration between IT & the business
  • Other duties as assigned


Experience & Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is highly desirable.
  • Experience:10-15+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Technical Expertise:Deep knowledge of database applications in manufacturing, including ERP & CRM systems, Industry 4.o & OT platforms, and business intelligence tools
  • Leadership Skills:Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and ability to influence in a matrixed organization
