Summary
Why This Role and Why Now
This role is open at a pivotal moment for Harmar's technology organization. The Director of IT will report to the Chief Technology Officer with responsibility for translating technology strategy into disciplined execution across enterprise applications, cloud services, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and AI-enabled business transformation - combining strategic leadership with the ability to go deep technically in SYSPRO, Salesforce, integrations, architecture, program management, and operational problem-solving.
Current priorities include deepening the optimization and support of the company's SYSPRO and Salesforce platforms, expanding enterprise monitoring capabilities through Datadog, evaluating and modernizing communications platforms, and advancing AI-enabled tools alongside continued enhancement of cybersecurity and cloud operations across AWS and Azure.
This is a business-minded, technically hands-on role: success depends on partnering effectively with manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, sales, customer service, finance, and executive leadership, while personally engaging in complex technical issues across enterprise applications and integrations when needed.
Harmar is backed by The Halifax Group, a private investment firm focused on lower middle-market businesses, and operates with the pace, accountability, and data-driven expectations typical of a private equity-backed organization.
This role is based onsite in Sarasota, Florida. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Sarasota area, and regular travel to the company's manufacturing operations in Raymore, Missouri, will be required.
