Based at our Nashville Home Office, you will provide leadership and coordination of O' Charley's Human Resource function. You will also oversee the development, administration and implementation of human resources policies, programs, and services including performance management, team member relations, recruiting, legal compliance and benefits.
Essential Duties- Advises O'Charley's President on people related issues and concerns.
- Oversees the recruitment and selection plan.
- Participates as a member of the O'Charley's Leadership Team
- Coordinate concept/division equal opportunity programs to achieve diversity goals.
- Create training and organizational development plan to meet personal, professional, and organizational needs of team members.
- Oversee compensation programs to ensure regulatory compliance and competitive salary levels.
- Direct the administration of benefit programs to include: health, retirement, death, disability, and unemployment.
- Evaluate procedures and technology solutions to improve human resources data management.
- Recommend and maintain an organizational structure and staffing levels to accomplish concept/division goals and objectives.
- Evaluate culture and provide recommendations on changes to accomplish O'Charley's goals and objectives.
- Develop and manage annual budgets for the O'Charley's HR function and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses.
- Recommend, establish and update policies and procedures.
- Support and oversight of the employee relations issues for O'Charley's.
- Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Leads the O'Charley HR Team as they support operations and ensure compliance with employment law.
- Serve on planning and policy-making committees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements- BA/BS in Business, Human Resources, Accounting or Finance
- Restaurant Experience is a plus
- 10 years of Human Resources or Related Experience
- Experience in planning and execution of HR initiatives.
- Knowledge of change management.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment, wage and salary laws and regulations.
- Ability to interpret and advice on the application of EEO/AA laws.
- Ability to analyze and assess training and development needs.
- Knowledge of organizational development theory and practices.
- Experience in design, development and implementation of salary administration plans and benefit programs.
- Experience in examining andre-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
- Knowledge of computerized information systems used in human resources applications.
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- 50% Travel required
