Job Description:Purpose:
To oversee the administration and coordination of medical services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to enable them to maintain optimal health and wellbeing.
Qualifications:
- Must successfully complete the required pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings
- Must possess a valid Driver's License with all necessary endorsements and have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
- Must possess a current and valid Registered Nurse license
- Must possess strong clinical skills with at least 3-year supervisory experience
- Must possess basic computer skills
- Experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred
Essential Functions:
- Coordinates and oversees health services according to the individual's plan ensuring each individual's optimal health and wellbeing
- Supervises nurses and CNAs and provides constructive feedback and training through positive interactions, role modeling, and mentoring
- Creates a positive interacting team which collaboratively works with all disciplines
- Ensures all documentation is completed according to regulatory requirements
- Acts as liaison between hospitals and other medical professionals advocating for least restrictive measures and protection of rights
- Performs all professional duties within the scope of licensure and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act
- Preforms all other duties as assigned
