Job Description

The Director of Graduate Admissions provides strategic leadership for the institution’s graduate enrollment efforts, overseeing the recruitment, admission, and enrollment of qualified graduate students at the Daytona Beach and Prescott campuses. Reporting to the Dean of Enrollment Management, the Director develops and executes a comprehensive graduate admissions strategy aligned with institutional enrollment goals, academic priorities, and student-success objectives.

The Director leads recruitment initiatives, application review processes, and partnerships with graduate programs and academic leadership. This position uses enrollment data and market intelligence to identify opportunities, improve conversion, strengthen the applicant experience, and achieve graduate enrollment targets.

Duties and responsibilities:

Graduate Enrollment Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive graduate admissions and enrollment strategy aligned with institutional goals and the enrollment management plan.
  • Establish annual recruitment, application, admission, yield, and enrollment goals in collaboration with the Dean of Enrollment Management and academic leadership.
  • Analyze enrollment trends, market conditions, competitor activity, and program demand to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop strategies for new student populations, geographic markets, and emerging graduate offerings.
  • Provide regular enrollment forecasts, progress reports, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Graduate Program & Campus Partnerships

  • Serve as the primary enrollment management partner for graduate programs Work collaboratively with academic units to develop enrollment plans for individual graduate programs
  • Provide academic leaders with market, applicant, and enrollment data to support program planning and recruitment decisions.
  • Build strong relationships across academic and administrative units to promote shared accountability for graduate enrollment.

Additional duties:

  • Creating and implementing recruitment and enrollment strategies to optimize University enrollments and provide leadership on policies and procedures relevant to admissions.
  • Research relevant, up-to-date, and emerging trends in marketing, recruitment, and retention that reflect the latest research and thinking in the area of enrollment management and growth
  • Manage the admissions operational budget and allocate resources effectively to maximize recruitment outcomes
  • Collaborating with marketing, academic deans, program chairs, and other university faculty and staff to align recruitment and    marketing efforts with academic capacity.

  • Evidence of the ability to work successfully with college and university administrators is required.
  • The ability to understand complex student information systems and to use those systems effectively in a management capacity are required.
  • Budget management skills, the ability to analyze and interpret statistics and data, and sensitivity to issues related to recruitment and retention of a diverse student body are required.
  • The ability to perform work with various computer applications is required. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
  • Strategic thinking and data-informed decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities. Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
