ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the strategic, working finance leader for Accuray's Global Service & Solutions business, owning the financial roadmap behind our three near term pillars: expanding service gross margin, growing the installed base double digits, and supporting the company's disciplined working capital approach – AR and Inventory reduction.
  • Lead and execute financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for the global service organization, including revenue, headcount, operating expenses, and profitability.
  • Partner with Service and Commercial leaders to develop customer-centric service offerings, pricing strategies, and lifecycle solutions that accelerate revenue growth while enhancing margins.
  • Develop regional and global profitability analytics that expose contract-level economics, identify where margin is being won or lost, and pinpoint the levers needed to close the gap toward our service gross margin target.
  • Drive service margin expansion initiatives through deep analysis of operational cost drivers, including service delivery, parts utilization, logistics, and third-party service spend.
  • Build the financial case for installed base growth initiatives, including secondary-market and certified pre-owned strategies, and model the service revenue and margin trajectory that accompanies scaling the bases.
  • Collaborate with Service, Supply Chain, and Operations leaders to optimize inventory strategy, field service productivity, and global support infrastructure.
  • Serve as the financial owner of the Global Service performance cadence, partnering on the KPI framework, including contract capture rate, FSE utilization, inventory levels, customer uptime, and safety recordables, to ensure every metric ties back to a dollar of margin or growth.
  • Lead financial evaluation of strategic initiatives, business cases, and investments, providing actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Deliver data-driven insights, trend analysis, and executive-level reporting that support quarterly investor communication and the business's stock price recovery narrative.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred or Desired:

  • Experience leveraging AI or machine learning tools for financial forecasting and trend analysis is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry (e.g., medical device, life sciences, healthcare, or similar).

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. Other Degrees can be considered with demonstrated finance proficiency.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, with a specific focus on revenue management, or commercial finance.
  • Proficiency in Power BI or advanced data visualization tools that foster reporting automation.
  • Expertise in Excel, financial modeling, cash flow valuation, scenario/sensitivity analysis, and ROI, NPV, and IRR analyses.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen with significant past P&L responsibility.
  • Exceptional communication skills, in both verbal and written formats; Experience in developing and delivering financial information and presentations.
  • Team player with demonstrated ability to lead and influence others outside of their direct-reporting lines.
  • Proactive approach, with exceptional initiative and problem solving abilities.
