Job Description
Great Basin College (GBC) and NORCAT are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic leader to fill the position of Director of GBC - NORCAT Mine Skills Training in Elko, Nevada. The Director will lead business development initiatives for the training center. Additionally, the Director will provide leadership to the team of trainers and support staff in Elko. The Director of GBC - NORCAT Mine Skills Training will focus on building the GBC - NORCAT Mine Skills Training brand, developing and delivering on a strong customer pipeline, and administering key training programs for the Nevada market.
This role combinesbusiness development, operations, financial management and workforce training leadership. The Director will be responsible for growing the customer base, building a strong sales pipeline, managing the Center27s operations and improving its financial performance.
This 2A2 contract (12-month) administrative faculty position is located in Elko, Nevada on the main campus and reports to and will be supervised by the GBC Dean of Workforce and Industry. NORCAT27s COO may give guidance to the Director with respect to his or her daily tasks in connection with the NORCAT-Mine Skills Training program. NORCAT27s COO will also provide high-level guidance to the Director in terms of target market, sales cycle, training offerings, marketing, advisory services, and other operational activities related to day-to-day business.
Travel
The position will require driving to other GBC campuses and/or company sites throughout the region, with or without reasonable accommodation as per the Americans with Disabilities Act, with possible overnight stays to coordinate students and programs throughout the service area. There must be a commitment to the GBC mission to serve rural Nevada. The successful candidate will participate in several state-wide or national meetings each year that require overnight travel.

This is a 12 month "A" contract position, 12 month contracts are used for year round programs.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $86,445 - $100,000
Salary is based on relatable education and experience, internal equity and budgets.
