Director of Finance

Overview

Numbers tell a story. We need someone who can read every chapter.

Town and Country Resort is looking for a seasoned Director of Finance to join our Executive Committee and help lead one of San Diego's most dynamic resort operations. With 671 guest rooms, multiple restaurants and bars, extensive meeting and event space, and enough moving parts to keep even the most organized spreadsheet on its toes, this is not a role for someone who enjoys a quiet ledger.

We're looking for a strategic finance leader who can see beyond the numbers, influence business decisions, and help guide the future of a high-volume resort operation.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Lead all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Partner with the General Manager and Executive Team to drive profitability and business performance.
• Translate complex financial data into actionable business decisions.
• Oversee cash management, capital planning, audits, and compliance.
• Analyze labor, purchasing, inventory, and operational costs to identify opportunities and risks.
• Ensure financial statements are accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant.
• Develop and mentor a talented finance team.
• Participate in strategic planning and help shape the direction of the resort.

Qualifications

You'll Be Successful Here If You...

• Love spreadsheets but can still hold a conversation.
• Think "forecasting" is exciting.
• Can explain a variance without causing panic.
• Know the difference between being cost-conscious and being cheap.
• Believe that every successful operation starts with strong financial discipline.
• Can walk into an Executive Committee meeting with confidence and leave everyone understanding the numbers.

As a valued member of the CoralTree team, you'll receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

• Group medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
• Participation in a pre-tax flexible benefit plan for healthcare and dependent care reimbursement.
• An employee assistance program.
• Paid time off/sick time.
• Participation in a 401(k) plan with a company match.
• Team member free room nights program.

Join us in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests, building vibrant communities, and shaping the future of travel and hospitality.
