Lead the financial operations that keep Annex strong, and the insights that keep us growingDirector of Finance The Director of Finance leads budgeting, forecasting, reporting, accounting, and daily financial operations while supporting M&A and managing the finance team. As a strategic partner to leadership, this role brings clarity to financial performance, strengthens decision support, and ensures finance capabilities scale with the firm's growth.
What You'll Do - Ownership: Lead development and execution of the firm's financial strategy in alignment with organizational growth goals
- Thought-Leader & Financial Planning: Partner with executive leadership to translate financial insights into business decisions
- Scenario Planning: Own and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
- Visibility & Optimization: Manage and optimize cash flow, working capital and allocation strategies
- Relationship Management: Serve as primary financial liaison to external stakeholders including auditors, banking partners, and tax advisors
- Team Leader: Lead, develop, and mentor Finance team members, fostering accountability and continuous improvement
- Technology Effectiveness: Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting tools, and data integration to enhance efficiency and scalability
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications - Education & Experience: Bachelor's in finance or related field is preferred. Must have 7-10 years experience in accounting/finance
- Financial Experience: Prior financial services industry experience is preferred
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations and the ability to complete them within strict monthly deadlines
- Critical & Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate variances and provide clear, actionable insights
- Compliance: Solid understanding of GAAP and compliance standards, with a consistent focus on audit readiness and accuracy
- Accuracy & Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring error-free financial data and maintaining strong accuracy ratings
- Software Competency: Advanced Excel and QuickBooks accounting system skills for managing, analyzing, and reporting financial data, prior experience with Salesforce is helpful
