Job Skills / RequirementsThe Director of Finance will play a key role in supporting the organization's financial operations, with a strong focus on contract administration, certified payroll compliance, and day-to-day accounting functions. This individual will work cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting, assist in collections, and support the preparation of proposals and contractual deliverables. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in both finance and operational support functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with preparation, review, and submission of certified payroll in compliance with applicable regulations
- Support contractual reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all client and regulatory submissions
- Perform administrative tasks related to contracts, including tracking deliverables, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with contract terms
- Assist with general accounting and finance functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis
- Support accounts receivable and collections efforts, including follow-ups on outstanding invoices and maintaining aging reports
- Participate in the development of cost proposals, including pricing analysis and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with operations and compliance teams to ensure alignment between financial reporting and contractual obligations
- Assist in improving internal processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required), advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in Finance or Accounting roles
- Strong understanding of certified payroll and contract-based financial environments preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience working with government contracts or prevailing wage environments
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., WinTeam or similar platforms)
