SUMMARY

Under direction of the Regional Director of Facilities, the Director of Facilities Management is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of ADAPT Community Network's facilities, building services, and fleet operations across their assigned locations. This role ensures facilities are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with all regulatory standards, while also supporting organizational growth through strategic planning, renovations, and expansion projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of the Director of Facilities Management will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Leads and manages the Facilities Management and Building Services departments, including recruitment, training, supervision, performance management, and development of staff.
  • Oversees building operations across all sites, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and security systems.
  • Ensures compliance with NYC Building Codes, OSHA, EPA regulations, fire safety, hazardous waste disposal, and other applicable federal, state, and local requirements; coordinates corrective actions for any violations.
  • Develops and implements facilities policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards to ensure consistency and efficiency across locations.
  • Conducts regular inspections of agency sites, ensuring facilities and grounds are clean, safe, and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Oversees contracts for repairs, upgrades, and construction projects, including managing bidding processes and ensuring adherence to contract terms.
  • Provides strategic oversight of the agency's fleet, ensuring vehicles are maintained, safe, and compliant with applicable regulations.
  • Develops and manages the division's annual operating and capital budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Collaborates with program and administrative leadership to assess facilities needs, plan for expansion, and support organizational growth initiatives.
  • Develops and implements a long-range facilities strategy, including sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency improvements.
  • Coordinates with vendors, contractors, and external agencies to support timely and effective completion of projects.
  • Provides staff with safety training and ensures the workplace adheres to agency health and safety standards.
  • Participates in agency-wide committees and cross-departmental initiatives as a subject matter expert for facilities management.
  • Prepares reports, data analyses, and projections to inform senior leadership decision-making.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects, as assigned.

  • Ability to travel regularly across agency sites within NYC.

COMPENSATION: $80,000 - $85,000 Annually + Industry-Leading Benefits!
