Full Job Description
Vivo HealthStaff is searching for a Director of Development to promote and help facility gifts to a healthcare nonprofit in the Bay Area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The Director will serve as the lead fundraiser for the major gifts and planned giving programs,
  • Oversee the stewardship program and enhance the existing culture of philanthropy.
  • Maintain official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field.
  • Work closely with the Finance team to understand budget projections such that the fundraising plan aligns to meeting those needs.
  • Develop and nurture ongoing relationships with major donors.
  • Develop and execution of special events.
  • Personal solicitations, targeted appeals, special events and planned giving.
  • Create annual and long-range goals and departmental budget for Philanthropy.
  • Develop electronic, print and face-to-face solicitations targeting individuals, businesses and foundations.
  • Liaison to development counsel.
  • Direct and develop legacy giving activities.
  • Oversee the tracking, record keeping, and recognition and stewardship systems.
  • Develop the annual fund development budget and financial reports.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5-7 years in fundraising, donor relations, or related field
