Director of Construction Services

SERVPRO®

The Director of Construction Services ensures construction activities are aligned across all Multi-Unit Operations Markets, supports strategic initiatives, and maintains strict compliance with brand standards.

Primary Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture
• Ensure franchise culture is adopted and maintained across all construction divisions
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with directors, managers, key customers, clients, and partners

Strategic Planning & Performance Management
• Collaborate with executive leadership and construction managers to develop annual plans and budgets
• Assign quarterly objectives aligned with annual plans and budgets
• Hold managers accountable for performance and results
• Evaluate overall performance using key performance metrics (KPMs)

Policies, Procedures & Compliance
• Define, revise, and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency across all MUOs
• Ensure construction standards meet quality expectations and comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Develop policies to monitor contractor compliance with schedule, budget, quality, safety, and contract requirements

Operations & Resource Management
• Manage procurement and resource allocation across all MUOs
• Evaluate operational efficiency and implement improvements aligned with organizational objectives
• Develop and maintain emergency preparedness, security plans, and continuity strategies

Financial Oversight & Risk Management
• Review financial data and adjust budgets to promote profitability
• Assess, analyze, manage, and mitigate operational and financial risks

Talent Development & Leadership Growth
• Assist construction managers with recruiting, training, and guiding construction teams
• Cultivate and support rising talent within the organization
• Continue professional and personal development in leadership, management, and team-building skills
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the employer

Requirements

Experience & Skill Set
• Strong ability to review and negotiate contracts
• Excellent leadership, management, and organizational skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Proven business acumen and industry knowledge
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Education
• High school diploma or GED required
• Project management experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related construction field

Skills / Physical Demands / Competencies
• Ability to work on active construction sites, including lifting, bending, and navigating stairs or tight spaces as needed
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel overnight when needed
