The Role

We are seeking a deeply technical product leader to own and advance our cloud interconnect portfolio. This role leads a growing team responsible for the commercial and technical solutions that connect enterprise customers to cloud providers and hyperscalers.

The Director of Cloud Interconnect Solutions will guide the evolution of existing cloud connections, launch the next generation of interconnect products across cloud providers, and define a future portfolio that is simpler and more seamless for customers. Working closely with cloud partners, engineering teams, and Alkira, you will translate complex connectivity requirements into scalable product capabilities and lead those solutions from concept through market adoption.

The Main Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a growing team of product management and analytics professionals responsible for the cloud interconnect portfolio.
• Own the strategy, roadmap, performance, and lifecycle of solutions that connect enterprise customers to cloud providers and hyperscalers.
• Maintain the commercial and technical health of existing cloud connections, including provider coverage, capacity, reliability, and customer experience.
• Drive incremental development and rollout of next-generation cloud interconnect solutions across cloud provider ecosystems.
• Define future product capabilities through deep technical collaboration with development teams, network architects, hyperscalers, and cloud partners.
• Lead the continued integration of cloud interconnect products with the Alkira platform, including the evolution of future product generations.
• Manage strategic cloud provider relationships and lead commercial, technical, and contractual negotiations when required.
• Engage with enterprise customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to translate mutual connectivity needs into prioritized product requirements.

What We Look For in a Candidate

• 10 years of experience in product management, network engineering, cloud infrastructure, or a related technical field.
• 3 years of experience with cloud connectivity, cloud interconnect, multicloud networking, data center interconnect, or hyperscaler solutions.
• Deep technical knowledge of cloud on-ramps, private interconnect, virtual connections, network fabrics, routing, security, and cloud networking architectures.
• Demonstrated experience defining and delivering technically complex products in partnership with engineering or software development teams.
• Experience managing cloud provider or technology partner relationships, including technical alignment and commercial negotiations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead product strategy, roadmap development, launch execution, and lifecycle management.
• Experience leading and developing product management, technical, or analytical professionals.
• Strong executive, partner, and customer communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear product and business decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working for a major cloud provider, hyperscaler, cloud networking platform, or cloud connectivity organization.
• Hands-on experience with software-defined networking, network-as-a-service, API-driven service delivery, or orchestration platforms.
• Experience with Alkira or another multicloud or intent-based networking platform.
• Demonstrated success launching cloud interconnect products across multiple cloud provider ecosystems.
• Experience simplifying provisioning, management, and lifecycle processes for enterprise cloud connectivity.
• Background developing jointly delivered products with strategic technology partners.
• Experience supporting enterprise customer discussions involving complex cloud connectivity and network architecture.
• Engineering, computer science, or related technical degree, or an equivalent combination of technical and commercial experience.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

$159,670 - $212,893 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
$167,273 - $223,031 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
