Job Summary

The Director of Clinical and Social Services (DCSS) Creates, directs, and implements the policies and procedures for the Clinical/Social Services Department. Ensures a high level of quality care and services for patients by coordinating and communicating operational procedures to staff and various departments. Monitors, evaluates, and modifies programs while adhering to company guidelines and standards. Directs and manages day-to-day operations for our Clinical Services department and staff. Responsible for oversight of case management and psychotherapeutic services to all patients and their families; to serve as a member of inter-disciplinary team supporting the organization's treatment program and philosophy, and ensure the delivery of quality treatment to patients and their families.

Provides supervision of licensure hours to those associate-level therapists.

The DCSS must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California.

A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for this position.

The Annual Salary for this position is based on experience and is anticipated to be between $130,000 - $160,000 per year.

Though we do need to meet some minimum requirements for the position such as a High School Diploma, a Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work or a related field (MSW, MFT) and a minimum of 3 years of similar experience, with at least 1 year in a behavioral or psychiatric setting, we're really looking for people who bring their HEART to work.

The DCSS must also have a current CA License as LCSW.

If you have previous experience in a mental healthcare hospital environment where your attention was focused on human behavior, psychiatry, psychology, or other mental healthcare situations, or specific experience as a Director of Clinical or Social Services, then your application to this position will be moved to the shortlist of candidates.

Additionally, you'll complete a "Handle-With-Care" Physical Restraint Technique and Verbal De-escalation Training during your orientation so that you know how and when to engage when such an event occurs.

  • Exceptional Leadership skills.
  • Experience in inpatient and outpatient social services.
  • A clear understanding of case management, time management, and crisis intervention common to acute psychotic as well as to non-violent crises intervention practice.
  • Knowledge of acute psychological disorders; advanced principles of abnormal psychology as specifically applied to adults and adolescents.
  • Familiarity with follow-up resource services.
  • Skills in conducting marital and family group therapy.
  • Experience navigating complex work schedules in a 24/7 environment of care
  • Experience leading a team of direct reports of 10 or more employees.
  • Licensed LCSW preferred (LMFT with Master's also sufficient)
